Restorative Dentistry
Even with the best preventive care, teeth can sometimes be damaged by decay, injury, or wear. Restorative dentistry is the branch of dental care focused on repairing and rebuilding teeth so they look, feel, and function as naturally as possible. Whether you have a single cavity or are dealing with more extensive damage, our practice offers a full range of restorative solutions to get your smile back on track.
We approach every restorative case with two goals in mind: restoring the health and function of your teeth and preserving as much of your natural tooth structure as possible. The more we can save, the better the long-term outcome — both for your oral health and for your wallet.
Fillings
Dental fillings are one of the most common restorative procedures we perform. When a tooth has been affected by decay, the decayed material is removed and the area is filled with a restorative material to seal it and prevent further damage.
We offer VOCO composite fillings. Composite fillings are made from a tooth-colored resin that bonds directly to the tooth, making them an excellent aesthetic choice — especially for visible teeth. During your visit, we’ll discuss which type of filling is most appropriate for your particular tooth and situation.
The filling process is straightforward: we numb the area with local anesthetic, remove the decayed tissue, shape the cavity, and place and harden the filling material. Most fillings are completed in a single appointment.
Crowns and Bridges
A dental crown is a cap that fully covers a damaged, weakened, or severely decayed tooth, restoring its shape, size, strength, and appearance. Crowns are recommended in a variety of situations — after a root canal, to protect a cracked tooth, to restore a tooth that has too much decay for a filling, or to complete a dental implant.
Our practice offers CEREC same-day crown technology, which allows us to design, mill, and place a custom porcelain crown in a single appointment — no temporaries, no second visit, no waiting. For patients who need a crown, this is a significant convenience that we’re proud to offer.
A dental bridge is a fixed restoration that fills the gap left by one or more missing teeth. The bridge consists of one or more artificial teeth (called pontics) anchored in place by crowns on the teeth on either side of the gap. Bridges restore chewing function, maintain proper tooth spacing, and provide a natural-looking result. Like crowns, bridges are custom-made to blend seamlessly with your surrounding teeth.
Implant Restorations
A dental implant is the gold standard for replacing a missing tooth — a titanium post placed in the jawbone that acts as a replacement tooth root, topped with a custom crown that looks and functions just like a natural tooth. Implants are the most durable and lifelike tooth replacement option available, and they help preserve the jawbone in a way that bridges and dentures cannot.
Our practice offers both implant placement and the restoration (the crown that attaches to the implant). When we handle both phases of care, we can ensure a seamless process and a result that’s precisely designed for your mouth and your smile.
Veneers
While veneers are often associated with cosmetic dentistry, they also serve a restorative function when teeth are chipped, worn, or misshapen. A veneer is a thin shell of porcelain that is bonded to the front surface of a tooth, restoring its appearance while requiring minimal removal of the natural tooth structure.
Veneers are custom-crafted to match the color, shape, and size of your surrounding teeth, creating a natural-looking result that holds up beautifully over time. They are stain-resistant and highly durable, making them a long-lasting investment in the appearance and function of your smile.
