Meet Our Doctor
Meet Dr. Justin Ebersole
When you sit down in the chair at Parsons Dental Care, you’re in the hands of a dentist who has spent nearly two decades building a practice and a life in this community. Dr. Justin Ebersole has been serving patients in Parsons and the surrounding Southeast Kansas area since 2007, and his commitment to this community is anything but accidental — it’s a deliberate choice he and his family have made and renewed every year since.
Dr. Ebersole brings a depth of education and training that goes well beyond a standard dental degree. He began his academic path at Baker University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then went on to Friends University, where he completed a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies — a period during which he also worked for the State of Kansas in the Bureau of Water’s CAFO division. That background in science and environmental systems shaped the way he thinks about health: systematically, carefully, and with an eye on long-term outcomes.
For dental school, Dr. Ebersole attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry — one of the premier dental programs in the region. While there, he was selected for the Senior Departmental Advanced Studies Program in Periodontics, a specialized training track that gave him advanced clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of gum disease and the supporting structures of the teeth. He graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in May 2007.
Rooted in Parsons
After graduating, Dr. Ebersole joined Dr. Wommack’s established private practice in Parsons — and never left. That kind of stability is genuinely rare in rural America, where many dentists spend a few years in a community before moving on. Dr. Ebersole chose differently. He and his wife Sadie — a registered dental hygienist he met at UMKC — put down roots here, raised their two sons, Alden and Asher, and built a practice that reflects the values of this community: hard work, personal relationships, and showing up consistently for the people who depend on you.
The Ebersoles are not just providers who commute in a few days a week. They live here. They shop here. They show up to events and support local causes. That connection to the community is something patients notice, and it’s something the entire team at Parsons Dental Care takes seriously.
Advanced Training and Technology
Dr. Ebersole’s commitment to his patients extends to staying current with the technology and techniques that make dental care more effective, more comfortable, and more convenient. Parsons Dental Care is the only office in Southeast Kansas offering CAD/CAM same-day zirconia crowns and cone beam CT (CBCT) imaging — capabilities that allow for more precise diagnosis and treatment without unnecessary referrals.
His advanced training in periodontics means that many gum-related concerns can be addressed right here in the practice. His membership in the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS) reflects his commitment to making dental care accessible to patients who struggle with anxiety. And his ongoing involvement in continuing education ensures that the care delivered at this practice keeps pace with the best that modern dentistry has to offer.
Professional Memberships
Dr. Ebersole maintains active membership in a number of professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Kansas Dental Association, the Southeast Kansas Dental Society, the American Orthodontic Society, the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, and the Neosho Valley Dental Study Club. He also volunteers with Dental Lifeline (formerly the Kansas Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped), providing care to patients who might otherwise go without.
Outside the Office
When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Ebersole is most at home outdoors. He’s an avid hunter and fisherman and spends much of his time away from the office working on the family farms. His sons have inherited that same love of the outdoors — something Dr. Ebersole talks about with obvious pride. Those who know him well say he brings the same patience and attention to detail to his hobbies that he does to his dentistry.
