Office Policies
We want every visit to Parsons Dental Care to be as smooth and stress-free as possible. The information below covers our office hours, how we handle appointments, our sterilization standards, and an overview of the technology we use in the practice. If you have questions about anything that isn’t covered here, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help each patient achieve optimum oral health and the appearance they feel confident in, through personalized dental care. We use current technology and quality dental materials to deliver comfortable, high-quality treatment — with a strong emphasis on prevention and patient education. Every person who comes through our doors is treated as an individual, not a chart number, and we take the time to understand your goals and concerns before recommending any course of treatment.
Office Hours
Our office schedule alternates weekly between two four-day schedules, allowing us to accommodate patients who are available on different days of the week.
Schedule A (alternating weeks): Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Schedule B (alternating weeks): Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
If you need to reach us after hours, an answering service is available and your message will be returned the next business day. For after-hours dental emergencies, please call our office number — you will find instructions for reaching the doctor’s emergency contact.
Appointments
We work hard to respect your time. Once we have a clear picture of your treatment needs after your initial visit, we schedule appointments that are well-planned and efficient — designed to minimize the number of trips you need to make and the time you spend away from work, school, or home.
Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you, and we make every effort to stay on schedule. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we ask that you give us as much advance notice as possible so that we can offer that time to another patient. We understand that life happens, and we’ll always do our best to find a time that works for you.
Parents are asked to accompany their children to all appointments.
Sterilization and Infection Control
Your safety is something we take very seriously. Our office follows universal precautions and utilizes current, comprehensive sterilization and disinfection protocols throughout every clinical area. All instruments are properly sterilized between each patient, and single-use items are disposed of appropriately after each procedure.
We stay current with infection control guidelines from the American Dental Association and the Centers for Disease Control, and we continuously review and update our protocols as standards evolve.
Technology in Our Practice
We believe that investing in the right technology leads to better outcomes, more accurate diagnoses, and a more comfortable experience for patients. Here is an overview of the technology we use in our practice:
CEREC Same-Day Crowns — Our in-office CAD/CAM milling system allows us to design, fabricate, and place a custom zirconia crown in a single appointment. No temporaries, no second visit, and no waiting weeks for a lab.
Sirona 3D Cone Beam CT Imaging — Our CBCT unit captures three-dimensional images of the teeth, jaw, and surrounding structures, enabling more precise diagnosis and treatment planning — particularly for implants, complex extractions, and bone evaluation.
Kinetic Cavity Preparation — Using a focused stream of air abrasion particles, we can remove decay and discolored filling material conservatively and comfortably, often without the need for local anesthesia.
Intraoral Camera — A small, high-resolution camera that allows patients to see exactly what the dentist sees inside their mouth, making it easier to understand diagnoses and treatment recommendations.
DIAGNOdent Laser Cavity Detection — A harmless diagnostic laser that detects the presence, location, and depth of tooth decay — often catching cavities that are not yet visible on X-rays.
The Wand — A computer-controlled anesthesia delivery system that administers local anesthetic at a precise, comfortable rate, significantly reducing the discomfort typically associated with injections.
Digital Drug Information (GenRx) — A computerized electronic drug information library that helps ensure accurate prescribing and safe medication management.
Multimedia Patient Education System — In-office educational resources that help patients understand their diagnoses, treatment options, and home care recommendations.
